Is there a public day use area?
Yes, Willow Beach is open for day use with a swim beach, covered picnic and barbecue areas, and fishing pier.
Which days are the boats unable to go north?

How far is Hoover Dam/Emerald Cave?
From Willow Beach, it takes about 4 hours to kayak to Emerald Cave. From Willow Beach to Hoover Dam, it is about 12 miles upriver.
What do I need to know about fishing?

What is the pet policy?
There is a maximum of two pets per site and they must be leashed at all times while outside. View the complete pet policy here.
What are the conditions of the boat launch?
Boat launch is in working order. Low lake levels do not affect the launch ramp on the river.

Where can I go if the parking lot is full?
Temple Bar, located on the Arizona side of Lake Mead, is located 35 miles from Willow Beach.
Amenities include a full-service marina, launch ramp, boat and paddle craft rentals, store, restaurant, 22
room motel, and 10 full hookup RV sites. Gas is available both at the marina and on land. From the
Willow Beach turn off, stay on AZ US-93 South for 7 miles. Turn left at the Temple Bar turn-off. Follow
the paved road 28 miles to Temple Bar. When going to Temple Bar, there is no NPS entry fee.

Please note: due to our canyon location, Wi-Fi and cell service are limited. Many guests see this as a highlight, the perfect chance to unplug, unwind, and enjoy the serenity of Willow Beach Harbor without digital distractions.
